Join us for a day of local art, Iowa wine, and Victorian charm at the Historic 1892 Abernathy House! Bluff Creek Pottery

Jessica Fenton
Kelly Cameron Patton

Madison County Winery will be on hand offering wine tastings and take-home bottle sales from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note: this is an outdoor market on the grounds of the Abernathy House, and wine is available for tastings and take-home purchase from the vendor only — no open containers or consumption on-site is permitted.
While you’re at the Market, take the opportunity to step inside and tour the historic Abernathy House, open from noon to 6 p.m. Built in 1892 for M. H. and Louisa Abernathy, this beautiful Queen Anne home features an open staircase, turret, multiple fireplaces, rounded rooms, a formal dining room, and a welcoming wraparound porch.
The Blakesburg Historical Preservation Society acquired the home in August 2024 and is carefully restoring it to preserve its historic character for future generations. Restoration is ongoing, with the formal parlor and dining room now beautifully returned to Victorian-period décor. Come inside, explore the progress, and experience one of Blakesburg’s historic treasures for yourself.
Held during the Blakesburg Corn Carnival.
