Our Shared History

The Blakesburg Historical Preservation Society is home to a large collection of Blakesburg High School yearbooks. Ranging from approximately 1943 - 1980, this collection is a crucial connection point for alumni, family, and our community. We invite the public to visit the museum and explore the yearbook archive.

We are excited to announce our goal to digitize this collection and make the yearbooks available online by the end of 2027. This initiative is completely funded by donors and supporters. If you would like to help make this dream a reality, please make a donation today!

BHS Yearbook Archive

One of our most requested and utilized collections, the BHS yearbooks are a valuable resource for genealogical research, historical documentation, and community pride. We currently have 37 different volumes to search from, beginning as early as 1928. If you or someone you know has BHS yearbooks they would like to donate, we are currently looking for the following volumes to add to our collection:

  • 1929-1942

  • 1949

  • 1972

Online Access - Coming Soon!

We are beginning the exciting process of digitizing the BHS yearbook collection. Once completed, each of the yearbooks will be accessible from our website. This effort will:

  • Enable those physically distanced from Blakesburg to connect with our organization

  • Provide greater search-ability to those conducting research

  • Protect and preserve the photographs, memories, and information for future generations
