A Hometown Christmas

11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. - The Blakesburg Historical Preservation Society has partnered with the Loving Shepherd Food Pantry and the Friends of the Blakesburg Public Library to kick off the holiday season with “A Hometown Christmas”.

11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Abernathy House with Christmas decorations, Dickens Village display, and Victorian Doll display and the Methodist Church with Memory Tree and Nativity Scenes open for public viewing.

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Soup & Sandwich dinner with desserts served at the Community Building (free will donation).

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. - Cocoa and Cookies with Santa at the Library (photos, write letters to Santa, decorate and eat a cookie and drink some cocoa).

2:00 – 5:00 p.m. - Mrs. Claus will be at the Abernathy House accepting letters written to Santa Claus.

2:30 – 4:00 p.m. - Interactive “Elf” Christmas movie at the Library.

5:00 p.m. - Christmas Lighting ceremony in the park followed by Christmas Carol Karaoke at the Park Shelter.

After Dark - Drive through town to see homes participating in the Christmas lighting & decorating contest (maps at all venues).
